Dr. Hox is the Principal Investigator for the Glycemia Reduction Approaches in Diabetes (GRADE) project at PHREI.   She is also an Endocrinologist at the Sacramento VA Medical Center-VA Northern California Health Care System.

Dr. Hox received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine.   Her postgraduate training included a residency in internal medicine at Providence St. Vincent's Hospital and a clinical fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of California.
